Affordable Housing
Housing should be a source of stability—not a constant crisis.
Across Tucson and Southern Arizona, working families are being priced out of their neighborhoods by rising rents, corporate speculation, and a lack of affordable options. When housing becomes unaffordable, everything else unravels and families are forced to move farther from jobs and schools, homelessness increases, and communities lose the stability they depend on.
The Arizona Legislature plays a critical role in shaping housing policy—through funding decisions, tax policy, and laws that either empower or restrict local solutions.
As a State Senator, I will fight to:
Expand state investment in affordable housing development, especially for working families and seniors.
Strengthen homelessness prevention, including rental assistance and eviction prevention.
Remove state-level barriers that prevent cities like Tucson from responding effectively to housing crises.
